Why I do what I do

Whether it’s for getting fit, self-defence or competing, my goal is to enhance your quality of life through martial arts and help you reach beyond your goals and objectives.

Stephen Oppong started his martial arts journey in MMA. He then transitioned to Muay Thai after falling in love with the sport and art of Muay Thai.

After taking his first trip to Thailand to understand the art, Coach Oppong returned to Canada to dominate the Canadian amateur circuit. Coach Oppong has won one Quebec provincial championship, two Canadian national championships and one world amateur championship.

After a successful amateur run, Stephen took his second trip to Thailand to test his skills against top professional fighters in the homeland of Muay Thai. Again, he fought top-level competition in high-level stadiums. As a result, Thailand’s national TV Networks featured him.

On his return to Canada, Coach Oppong was invited to compete in professional promotions in Canada and United States. He was featured in CBS sports and fought main events on Friday night fights in New York.

Stephen also took trips to the Netherlands to expand his arsenal. There he Learned Dutch-style kickboxing and regularly practiced his boxing in various Montreal gyms.

Stephen is still actively competing. He is ranked 3rd in Canada Muay Thai. Stephen’s dream is to be known internationally as one of the best.

What is Muay Thai?

Muay Thai is the art of 8 limbs and is the national sport of Thailand. Muay Thai utilizes punches, kicks, knees, elbows and clinch close quarter grappling. Therefore, you can expect to use all the parts of your body while learning this skillful martial art.

What is Kickboxing?

Kickboxing is similar to Muay Thai and uses punches, kicks and knees to immobilize your opponent. It originates from the Dutch kickboxing style, and this martial art relies on its high pace and high volume combinations.

What is boxing?

Boxing is known as the “Sweet Science.” Boxing provides a great workout to relieve stress and improve coordination. While using your fist, you will learn proper punching technics and defensive manoeuvers.

What is Martial Arts?

Martial Arts is a full-body workout that helps improve confidence, flexibility, coordination, and self-defence skills. Each training session is thoughtfully designed for beginners, intermediate or advanced levels for your personal goals and objectives. Proper technical skills are explained, demonstrated, and practiced with various drills, focus mitts, Thai pads, and bag workouts.
